Herramientas de Filo is a Mexican tools company that sells cutting equipment. They needed a website that would rank on Google, load fast, and make it easy for buyers to find and contact them about products. This was as much an SEO and distribution problem as it was a design one.

Problem

A tools company's website lives or dies by search. If contractors and buyers can't find you on Google when they search for a specific product, you don't exist. The site needed to be structured for search engines from the ground up, not bolted on after.

Process

SEO architecture first

Built the routing and page structure around product categories and keywords before designing anything. Each product category gets its own statically generated page with proper metadata, structured data, and clean URLs.

Static generation for speed

Used Next.js static generation so every page loads instantly. Search engines reward fast pages, and so do users.

Clear conversion paths

Every page has one job: get the buyer to contact the company. Designed clear CTAs, a simple product catalog, and made the contact information impossible to miss.

Outcome

A live site at herramientasdefilo.mx with strong page speed scores and clean SEO foundations. The client can add new products through a straightforward content structure.

Learnings
For a small business, the website is the sales team. Engineering decisions — routing, static generation, metadata — directly affect whether the business gets found. That's a responsibility worth taking seriously.
